What is a skip bin?

A skip is a large steel open topped waste container. They are used to hold large amounts of waste  and are carried by specially designed trucks.

Are you insured and licensed?

Yes, we are both licensed and insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Giving our customers complete peace of mind.

How full can I fill the skips?

To ensure that the skip is safe to transport, you should not fill it past the top sides. The bins are covered when in transit to prevent waste from falling out and it would be hard to seal if they are overfilled.

Do I need to be home when the skip is picked up or delivered?

No. If you would like the skip to be placed at a strategic location then you can make arrangements when ordering.

How long can I keep my bin?

The standard hiring time is 7 days. If you need to extend the time just give us a call to discuss our flexible hiring options. Extra days start from as little as $10.

Do all the bins have rear doors?

No but you can request doors if you require. We have a range of sizes available with drop-down doors.

Can you place the skip on public land or nature strip?

No. Without a permit from the local council, you cannot place it on a nature strip, road or public land. Generally speaking, we will place the skip anywhere within your property.

How much does a skip cost to hire?

The cost depends on the size and the duration used. Prices start from $220 for a 7 day hire. Call us or email us for our latest prices.

What sizes of skip bin do you offer?

We offer a variety of different sizes of skip bins that range from 2 cubic metres up to 15 cubic metres.

How can I estimate what size skip bin I need?

You can check our skip sizes and how many wheelbarrow or trailer loads they can handle. TIP: To estimate the skip size needed, multiply the length, width, and height of your waste. For example, 2.0m * 1.2m * 1.2m = 2.88 cubic meters. For this, order the 3 cubic meter bins.

Will my waste be recycled?

Yes. Your waste will be processed and recycled when possible. Learn more about the recycling programs from the Queensland Government.

Can I place dirt, concrete and bricks inside a skip bin?

Yes. In this case you can hire a heavy waste skip which can be loaded with the waste material above.

What material is prohibited from putting in the skip?

Prohibited items include hazardous waste like asbestos, tyres, batteries, gas cylinders, toxic liquids and chemical waste like paint and oils.

Can I put a mattress in a skip bin?

If it fits, yes you can. As long as it fits within the top of the rim and doesn’t exceed the fill lines.

Do you recycle rubbish?

Yes we do. We aim to recycle as much waste as possible. All recyclable material is sorted at the nearest waste facility to your location in Brisbane.

Do you provide permanent hire?

Yes. We do offer permanent hire as long as it’s frequently changed over.

What happens my the skip cannot be delivered?

In the rare occurence this happens please call the office on 07 3062 8466. They might just be runing late or stuck in traffic. Our customer service team will check with the driver to find their location and notify you of their approximate arrival time.

How long does it take for delivery?

Depending on when you made the booking. Delivery can often be on the same day or the next day if you book early in the morningand we have availability.

Can the skip bin be placed on my driveway?

Yes. As long as there is adequate space, easy access and within council regulations.

What if I’m not finished on pick-up day?

We will allow you extra time if required. We will then rearrange for a new pick-up date. Please note this may incur additional costs starting from $10 a day.

How does the skip bin hire process work

Ordering a skip bin from us is easy. Simply choose the size you need, we recomend choosing one size up to make sure you fit all your rubish inside. Then call us for a quote. If you are happy with our pricing you can make a booking. Let us know the time and date to schedule the skip bin to be droped off. Then let us know when you have filled it up and we will come anc collect it.

How is waste disposed of after collection?

Waste is responsibly recycled and/or disposed of in accordance with local laws. What we cannot re-use or re-purpose we deliver the the Resource Recovey Centres throughout South East Queensland.

Do you recycle the waste collected in the skip bins?

Yes, we follow a sustainable waste management plan and recycle where possible.

Can I fill the skip bin above the rim?

No, the skip bin must not be filled above the rim in order to ensure safety during transport and collection.

What happens if I overfill the skip bin?

You will be charged an extra fee if you overfill the skip bin which will need to be arranged before collection can take place.

Can I move the skip bin once it has been placed?

No, please do not move the skip bin once it has been placed on your property as this may cause damage.

What happens if the skip bin gets damaged while in my possession?

You will liable for any damage caused while it was in your possession and repairs may incur a fee.

I have electronic waste, will you take it?

Yes we do.

Do you rent green bins for garden waste?

Yes, we rent small green bins suitable for garden waste only such as grass clippings, tree trimmings etc – please contact us for further details.

I’m a builder and have allot of construction waste, can you help?

Absolutely! We can definitely help with your construction waste, including concrete and soil disposal. We work with allot of builders and construction companies throughout Brisbane.

Can I also dispose of concrete and soil?

Yes, we accept both concrete, soil, rubble, tiles, bricks and more. Just make sure to let us know when you book.

I’m moving out and have general household waste, what size bin will i need?

Depending on the amount you need to dispose of – typically for general household waste a 4 or 6 cubic metre skip bin should suffice.

Are there any additional charges apart from the hire cost?

No, our prices are all inclusive with no hidden fees. Delivery and pick up is also included in this rate. There might be additional fees for overfilling. So please keep an eye out for that.

Are there any additional fees associated with the rental period of my skip bin, such as overweight fees or late payment charges?

We don’t charge any late payment fees or overweight fees during the rental period. So there are no extra hidden costs!

Do I need to be present when the skip bin is delivered or collected?

No it’s not necessary. Usually our delivery staff will take the bin from you only once it’s been filled and collected when they deliver a new one.

Can I change the size of the skip bin after booking?

Sure, as long as we have availability we’re happy to change the size after booking.

Do you provide services on weekends and public holidays?

Absolutely. We provide skip bin services 7 days a week including weekends and public holidays. We just ask you to book in advance for after hours and weekend drop-off and pick-up requests.

Do I need a council permit to place a skip bin on the street?

You may need one depending on where you want to site the bin. So it’s best to check with your local council beforehand. Or give us a call and we can advise.

Is it possible to get a same-day delivery if I need one urgently?

Need a same-day delivery urgently? We can help you. Just make sure to book early in the day and we’ll do our best to get it to you ASAP!

How do I pay for the skip bin hire?

We usually require payment in advance on the day of your booking. If you couls like to start an account with us please contact us to discuss.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major payment methods, such as Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay, cash or or direct bank transfer.

Do you provide invoices for skip bin hire?

Absolutely! Every invoice is sent via email within 48 hours of the hire.

Can I cancel my booking? Is there a cancellation fee?

Yes, you can cancel your booking at any time. However, there may be a cancellation fee charged depending on when you make the cancellation.

What happens if I need the skip bin for longer than the agreed hire period?

If you need to keep the skip bin longer than what was agreed upon, just give us a call so we can discuss further options. Additional days start from just $10 depending on the size of skip.

Do you provide skip bins for commercial use?

Sure do! Just get in touch with us and tell us what you need for your commercial project and we’ll take care of it from there.

Do you provide skip bins for residential use?

Of course! We provide 2-10 cubic metre cubic metres skips (and sometimes larger), perfect for at-home jobs and residential projects in Brisbane. So if its time to do some decluttering or renovating, our bins will handle it all.

Can I hire more than one skip bin at a time?

Yes – simply let us know how many bins you’re after and we’ll arrange the delivery accordingly.

Do you offer discounts for long-term hire?

Yes – we offer discounts for long-term hires if you book two or more skip bins at once.

How quickly can you pick up the skip bin once I’m done with it?

We aim to pick up your skip bin within 24 hours of being notified that it’s ready to go.

Can I specify a delivery and pick-up time?

Yes, you can specify a delivery and pick-up time when you book. Just let us know your preferred timing and we’ll do our best to accommodate it!

Do you provide any protective measures to prevent damage to my property?

Yes, we can provide protective measures such as plywood sheets and blankets to protect the ground when placing a skip bin.

What safety measures should I consider when using a skip bin?

Safety is our priority. It is important to consider the following safety tips before using a skip bin. Stay aware of nearby utilities. take care when walking around the skip bin, wear protective clothing andkeep children away from the area.

Is asbestos accepted in your skips, and if so, what precautions should be taken when disposing of it?

Yes, we do accept asbestos in skips however there are strict regulations and precautions that need to be taken such as ensuring correct disposal procedures are used and obtaining relevant certifications.

Can I dispose of mattresses in the skip bin?

Yes – mattresses can be disposed of in our skip bins.

Can I dispose of refrigerators and washing machines?

Yes – you can dispose of all whtegoods safely in our containers.

Can you provide servicing for events?

Absolutely! We proudly provide servicing events throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland.

Is it possible to have the skip bin placed on a slope or uneven surface?

For safety reasons we will need a flat even surface. If you are unsure you can contact us and send a photo of your desired drop-off area.

How does your company engage in sustainable practices to minimise environmental impact?

We are dedicated to sustainability and hence partner with local recycling companies to ensure our skips are emptied and the waste is diverted for recyclable and proper disposal. We also encourage customers to always use our green garden waste bins to help save the planet from unwanted greenhouse gases.

We service all of South East Queensland. Locations include Brisbane inner city, CBD, Northside, Southside, Eastern suburbs, Western suburbs, Ispwich and Towoomba.

What hours are you open?

We are open from 8.00am to 6.00pm from Monday to Saturday.

What are skip bins called in other Countries?

In the US and Canada they are referred to as a Dumpster. They are hired our by Dumpster rental companies. In the United Kingdom they just call them skips, which is an abbreviated version of what we call them here in Australia – skip bins.

What does the term waste management mean?

Waste management is a term to describe the sorting and disposal of waste products from their initial inception to their final disposal. The processes involved include controlling, monitoring and the regulating waste by means of producing, collecting, transporting and treating the material. Waste that cannot be recycled or reused is put into landfill or incinerated.
